HARBEL GRANT OPPORTUNITIES

For the past four years HARBEL has received a $7,500 grant from the
Baltimore Community Foundation
to fund community projects and initiatives
in Northeast Baltimore.

The HARBEL Neighborhood Grant Program has funded grants of no more than $750  that have been awarded to over 60 community based projects that have enhanced our neighborhoods. The grant applications are evaluated and awarded by the HARBEL Neighborhood Grant Allocation Committee, a group of community leaders appointed by their association presidents to evaluate the applications and determine the awards.

HARBEL has again been awarded $7,500 by the Baltimore Community Foundation. This will fund an exciting program that will distribute grants of no more than $750 to communities to be used for projects that will increase a community’s capacity and membership. Click here for the current grant announcement. Download the current application AdobePDFIcon.

The grant mandates that HARBEL set up a process to allocate the money in which representatives from its member communities comprise a Neighborhood Grant Allocation Committee that will establish an application process, the selection process, the review process, and the requirements of the final report for those projects that receive awards from this grant. We have asked the presidents of our member community associations to nominate energetic persons to serve on the Grant Allocation Committee that will award these funds.

HARBEL is now soliciting applications for this great program. For more information about this grant opportunity for your community please read the current grant announcement or contact Mike Hilliard at mikehilliard@harbel.org or 410.444.2100.
